Thursday & Friday
Normal two days leading up to the weekend workouts which seem to be getting longer and harder – but not so fast, Thursday’s has become a workout in itself yes a simple spin on the bike for an hour on Thursday and Friday but this run, ok I am starting to see the level of pain increase and the exhaustion start.... Not just a 71 min run, but throw in a few percentage grade climbs and they are growing, first one 6% for a minute followed by a 3 minute recovery (actually that’s how long it took for my heart rate to come back into Z1) then repeat, but now 7%, then 8%, 9% and finally 10% and try not to die (heart rate hit 166 - 6 beats off of burst) then a recovery finish - OH BOY fun times ahead.
